All manuals are electroprint (e.g. Xerox) reproductions with index stock covers. All but the longest manuals are stapled with cardstock covers, while longer manuals are issued as loose sheets. These may be drilled for three hole, GBC (plastic spine) or other binding system at your local copy or print shop. Many of the rarer manuals have been reproduced from microfilms, the only form available in these cases. The expense involved in commissioning microfilms and in having these films printed out is considerable; the relative high price (which is still only a very small fraction of what it costs to have this done) for these manuals reflects an attempt to distribute this cost among the possibly few enthusiasts interested in these rare manuals. The quality of the reproduction of the manuals printed from film is imperfect in some cases. Delivery time varies considerably as I do not maintain large stocks of any title and therefore frequently run out of one title or another. Feel free to call about the status of your order, or just to chat about historical fencing matters. I am especially interested in trading for titles I do not have, which I can either share with others by adding them to this list, or not, if the arrangements by which you obtained a copy prohibit such distribution or you have other reasons for not wanting this done at this time. I regard myself as a student of the sword rather than a publisher, and am making these manuals available to support research in this area. It would, of course, be selfish and inconsistent with the honorable traditions associated with fencing to do otherwise.
